WHERE IS IT?
The venue for the main event is the Perry Belmont House, which is located at 1618 New Hampshire Ave NW in Washington, DC. The historic property is in the Dupont Circle area, almost exactly in the center of DC.
WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
We have reserved a block of rooms with a discounted rate at The Kimpton Banneker Hotel (see TRAVEL). The hotel is a 12-minute walk or a 4-minute drive to the Perry Belmont House, so you can easily get to the celebration whether you’re up for a stroll or prefer a quick ride.
IS THERE PARKING?
The Perry Belmont House does not have any onsite parking. Street parking may be available nearby. For the most convenience, we recommend walking or ridesharing.
WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The Perry Belmont House is an entirely indoor venue. Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.
CAN I BRING A GUEST OR A DATE?
Ours is an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family. We are so excited to celebrate with you! If your guest’s name is listed on your RSVP, then yes. Otherwise, join all of us in a night of connecting!
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive no later than 4:30pm to allow time for getting situated. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
We encourage you to attend our wedding in your finest black-tie attire.
For gentlemen, this typically means a black tuxedo with a white shirt or a smoking jacket in velvet or silk.
For ladies, this means gowns in evening-appropriate fabrics (velvet, chiffon, silk, or lace). Please avoid anything close to white.
But do not stress over this.
We would rather you come than not!
If you’d like, help bring our turn-of-the-century venue to life by wearing vintage and antique-inspired clothing, shoes, and/or accessories.
Complement the eclectic Beaux-Arts aesthetic of the Perry Belmont by referencing Renaissance, Rococo, Gilded Age, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Old Hollywood.
Think baroque details, beading, velvet, fringe, feathers, ribbon, luster, pearls, patina... Your great-grandmother’s necklace(s) will never feel more at home.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
While we wish we could include all the little ones amongst friends and families, our wedding venue is for adults only. We appreciate you making arrangements to leave the youngsters at home so you can relax and celebrate with us!
CAN I TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS AT THE CEREMONY?
To keep our ceremony timeless, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. We request that all digital technology be put away during this phase of the evening. That way, our photographer and videographer can capture all of us celebrating love and connection free from the ringing distractions of everyday life.
WHAT ABOUT AFTERWARDS? CAN I HAVE MY PHONE OUT?
In order to have the most immersive, out-of-time experience, consider having as few digital doodads out during the night as you can. While you live in the moment, trust our photographers and videographers to capture the night. Be present, get snapped, and get a souvenir to remember how you showed up (and showed off!) for us!
WHY IS THERE SO LITTLE ON YOUR REGISTRY?
We're adding more! But we are dyed-in-the-wool thrifters, pickers, estate salers, and sentimental inheritors... so we have a lot of things already. What we have not been able to thrift are experiences and milestones. Between school, work, and family, we have not been able to travel as a couple. We would love to be able to experience new things together while we are still young and free.
